Facilities & Environment

We are proud of our modern campus, with the capacity to educate, house and feed up to 300 students.  Facilities include: classrooms; construction workshops; computer labs; a large dining hall with kitchen; separate dormitories for boys and girls; a staff house; and sports facilities, including an indoor basketball court, an outdoor volleyball court and a full-size football (soccer) field.

The school is surrounded by beautiful hills and lakes in a safe, rural setting, an easy one-hour car or bus ride west to the modern capital of Kigali.  Rwanda is a clean (no trash or plastic bags anywhere!), well-administered country working hard to modernize its economy after successfully putting behind it the disastrous civil war of 1994. Its people are super friendly and likable. At 5000’ elevation, the climate is close to ideal, with year-round sunshine, highs in mid-eighties and overnight lows in low sixties.

Guest Facilities

IMG_4563Guests are welcome! There are 4 simple, but spacious rooms, with private showers on the grounds of the village.  (More modern guest quarters are under construction.) Best of all, Father Hermann and his cook welcome his guests with delicious meals around his large table (usually in the company of village children).
